Andy Childs
A native of the musically rich city of Memphis, Tennessee, Andy Childs began performing professionally right out of high school. Andy recorded several chart hits for RCA Records in the late 90‘s, and then several more in the 00’s for Warner Brothers Records with his group ‘Sixwire’.
Andy Childs and Sixwire were featured on the FOX series ‘The Next Great American Band’, a show from the producers of American Idol, on which they placed 2nd out of the 10,000 video submissions, 200 auditions, and 12 finalists. Andy and his band have also been the featured band on the CMT show ‘Can You Duet’, and are now the house band on CMT’s Next Superstar.

Throughout Andy Childs’ career, he has been a sought-after and popular entertainer specializing in private parties, meetings, conventions, and corporate events. His vast client list includes Federal Express, Hilton Hotels Corporation, Disney, Barnes & Noble, Chevrolet, Northwest Airlines, Nike, and many others. Andy’s show features the finest musicians from Memphis and Nashville, performing a variety of music that is catered to the audience, covering 50 years of great songs. Show and dance sets include Memphis Rock’n’Roll, the Soul and Rhythm & Blues sounds of Stax and Motown Records, classic rock from the 70’s, party dance-rock from the 80’s and 90’s, Country, and current hits.
Andy Childs resides in Nashville, Tennessee. When not touring, he spends his days writing songs and working on recording projects. Andy’s songs have been recorded by country recording artists Blackhawk, Chris Cagle, Canadian Juno Award winner George Canyon, and many others.
